I remember seeing this image and thinking it was a very simple and interesting idea. It was certainly doable for me, yet I never got around to putting it into practice. I guess I forgot! Painting on a mirror, especially an abstract piece is so creative and eye-catching. I personally love mirrors and abstract art, so of course it tickled my aesthetic. So, I am promising here, in front of you, that I will do it, eventually, I will diy this, even if it kills me!!:)) Rest assured, it won't!:)))
I will always love dripping paint in art pieces!
I am not sure this is painted on a mirror, but it seems like it to me... ....and I love it!!
...certainly not diy- material, but gorgeous, still!
This is actually a painting hung on a mirror, but I love it!
I seem to be attracted to big scale art!
This is perfect: black, simple abstract circles!! LOVE!!
What are your thoughts on this? Would you want to paint on a mirror is is it non-functional for you? Do share!!

Ozana
Images here.
What an interesting idea. I like it; I think that last one would be good in a foyer where both a mirror and art would be useful and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHola Ozana a mi me encantan esos espejos antiguos que parecen chorreados de pintura , como el de la tercera imagen ,, pero valen una fortuna,, habrĂ¡ que correrĂ¡ uno nosotras,,,!!
ReplyDeleteI like this idea. I agree with Jessica, I think it would would great in a foyer!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of painting a mirror - I kind of like the look :-) I have some old mirrors in the basement that I could experiment on.... hmmmm! :-) Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeletePicture number 3 brought me here and looks diy to me. 12 inch mirror tiles, some skinny moulding and a bunch of ornate stamped brass tags. I've been finding a bunch of methods for antiquing new mirrors. This would be so lovely and fun to try.
